I don't think the management has much interest in raising morale here, but I still wonder if it would be possible to do something about it and how, considering how much the company has degenerated?

Man, the morale is completed dead in the MOB org. Completely. People are burnt out. Management can't lead a snake to grass, nor could it help a fish drink water. Hired to only ask "what do you have going in this month". Now it's daily. People are quietly quitting if they can afford to. Managers are helping sellers. I left a short time ago and boy oh boy am I forever happy about it. LEAVE AT&T NOW. Stop being scared before you sink with the ship

Disengage. For your own peace of mind. I don’t have to worry about my morale at work. It’s a paycheck and nothing more. Do my job and call it a day. Can’t bother to take much else seriously. I fill out the surveys without even reading the questions. Just randomly select bubbles.

The could give 2 sh@ts about low morale. The people at the top think they are geniuses and they can do it without you. Same arrogant imbeciles that never stepped foot outside of AT&T running the show. Occasionally they use research and consulting firms to help, but they are even more directionless and clueless than AT&Ts own inbred upper class.
I work in HR and when I heard about the existence of a "Presence Report" I was sick to my stomach. These are the kind of projects that lower morale. Angela Santone has mentioned she reads comments online and I encourage her to abandon this report if she has any interest in beginning to salvage morale. It's one thing to roll out a change to how and where we work, it's another to micromanage it.
