If you are cut by the coming reduction, what are the rules about returning as a contractor or employee in the future?

There's a minimum 6 month cooling off period, but exceptions are made with very high level mgmt approval.
uhh
OP, replying to Sbb4J.
I'm sad to hear that you experience the job as a dumpster fire. However, it is a big company, and not everyone has it that way, or not everyone chooses to see it that way.
I like my job. The parts I don't like, I try to change. I like my team. Those individuals I don't like, I tolerate professionally. The warts I see are warts I have also seen at another company.
In the end, I would like to keep my job, or try to return later if I cannot.
There are people who have been laid off that have returned as contractors.
Why would you want to come back to this dumpster fire
