Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Human Resources Department role:

HR is simply impotent, and it only serves as a rubber stamp; this is not only trues at Verizon but throught this industry. Anyone expecting an HR Dept. to play a role as an independent and just entity without a bias needs a rude awakening. HR is nothing but a body that only protects the interest of the company and makes sure that rules/policies are followed. It blindly takes instructions from upper management to take any actrion.

My 2 cents, do not expect much from HR departments they are toothless to take any actions indepedently. They act only by following instructions from parties in position and power with in the company wether right or wrong.

HR definitely represents the degenerates in business, knocking even lawyers out of the way.

The Human Repugnance or Human Reprobate department is all about keeping you on a tighter and tighter leash. Occasionally they will require you to roll over or learn a new trick like DEI which has been turning into DIE for many woke companies.

Never, ever go to HR about an issue with a manager, I mistakenly did this once when my manager was clearly taking my hard-earned bonus money totaling about $20k over the years and giving it to her nepo’s, HR ACTUALLY PUT ME ON THE DEFENSIVE, it was scary

HR departments exist if one reason only. They exist to protect the company from its employees.

You keep doing the cr-p work for VZ cause it is meant for cr-p people like yourself. I sure am glad that I am not part of it anymore.

The good news is, I'm still employed. And, as long as there are employers, there'll be HR."

Toads and frogs, I like it. I like it! Sure seems like it makes a lot of sense too. I mean 'princesses' and 'princes' being turned into toads and frogs. It all makes sense now. Though who was that unlucky feller that actually had to kiss all of them? Or do they just come that way, like natural lizard people?

If you have nappy hair like she does, my HR partner will go above and beyond for you. If not, she only does the minimum required.

HR doesn't actually RIF anyone. That takes backbone. That's why they use others. Smarmy.

I actually like my HRBP, must be lucky. Yes, their job is to protect the company from lawsuits, that means that they must inform you of your rights as well. They do work for you in a way

Human Resources is comprised of toady type employees who were the brown nosers and hallway monitors when they were in school. The kids who always ratted out all of the other kids. When I started they were the people who had your back for health and wealth issues. Not anymore. Now they are the corporate hall room monitors. Big Brother and Big Sister are watching you!

The Human Resources role is "not" independent nor autonomous.

Human Resources are required to follow the C-Suite directions and instructions = slash costs.

Human Resources is not an internal support staff for the sake of employees.

Human Resources does need to ensure with the Legal Counsel that the corporation meets the enforced laws ratified at the federal, state, and local, levels.

Nasty people. All of them look like off-the-rack picture-perfect professionals, that share the same painted fake smiles, black hearts, and chant the V-Team NewSpeak required for the troops to think every morning. In addition to being the buzz ki-ls at every part, they are also a drag on earnings. Good thing for them that they also set the executive compensation rates and bonuses.

True. These people are really vile, but can you imagine the poor folks that are actually married to one of these creatures? Talk about sleeping with the enemy!

HR is really RD, as in the Rat Department. That's what they are.

VPs dump their loads all over their reports, the Ds and EDs make sure they smile when they eat it and say 'thank you' - and then the Rat Department scurries out of their little holes in the wall and in the earth and listen for any mumbling and grumbling.

The Rat Department then issues a mandatory voluntary survey which will indicate that all of the 'v-team' plebes not only love living off the elite effluence of their VPs but, at the risk of being greedy, want even more of their elite effluence.

The Rat Department is the sewer of the company, but I always felt sorry for those married to this sorry lot. Can you imagine? I bet that they 'dime' them out to the IRS and even the local gendarmes when they run an amber light.

There are some scary people in the Rat Department.

When did anyone ever say that HR represented the employees? They don’t, it’s not their function. If you want representation then form a union.

Nonsense!

In addition to serving as the company's 'internal affairs', like the police, these are also the people pushing pro-discrimination and pro-segregation policies like DEI.

Human Resources is the tool used to weaken and control groups.

"HR Business Partners" is a joke as it is easier to hire someone on your own rather than rely on these jokers.

No one in HR can be trusted. They are paid turncoats.
