Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Another reorg coming to EMEA

Will be officially announced to senior management of impacted business units next week but most were already told unofficially. Jobs and Roles in the West EU (Britain, Ireland, Germany) are heading to the East EU (Poland, Slovakia, Romania). Mostly non-dev legacy business operations.

Even India is becoming too expensive for the Fiserv bean counters and the new hot spot for cheap labour is contractors in the eastern eu countries bordering Russia or Ukraine.

I feel sorry for NetPay. Fiserv will boil them slowly during the assimilation process then shut down their office and move the survivors to a central hub.

Wouldn’t be surprised. We have banking clients who have been using contract resources from that region for a little bit now.

Where are you getting this information from? There’s been no sign of this happening and large investments made in these countries.

I’m not saying it isn’t true I’d just like to know more. The communication here is awful as we all know. A lot of us would like to get ahead of this, get cv out ASAP. Nobody in the office is telling anyone anything as per usual.

OFD already had long established offices in that region. A lot of the new contractors are remote.

surprised pikachu face
Correct me if I'm wrong but fiserv mentioned countries bordering Russia or Ukraine are not safe to travel due to war in Ukraine... I guess they started to smell scent of money to be earned ignoring safety at the same time.
