Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Sick and Tired

We are all just so sick and tired of the district manager who sends passive aggressive messages in slack, he thinks that all of his management team is going to be like him and run around with their heads cut off because you need to “hit numbers”. Here is a little fun fact, no one cares!! Stop trying too hard and stop with the passive aggressive messages thinking we are children or our job is in jeopardy. A nice friendly call to HR will fix this.

DMs are not upper management. They are band 6 lackeys with no power.

All these retail guys are living in a fantasy world. Once the boomers are gone, NO ONE will come into their 20th-century "phone stores." They are all in the buggy whip business, ready to become the next retail dodo. RADIO SHACK ANYONE?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
I don't know why the down votes happen, but I get a kick out of the reactions. You see it starting and you know it's just a matter of time before someone loses it. It's ALWAYS hilarious.
I can't help but picture some dorky wide body whose self esteem rises and falls with likes and dislikes on social media... their partner requires an only fans subscription... We all know the type.

A call to HR will do nothing. You are naive.

Lol looks like a DM got one of their eager Kool aid drinking SMs to counter with a provacative post that attempts to deflect the attention from upper management back onto the front line workers. And then! All the DMs went and upvoted it! Nice try but it's a little obvious.

Not sure if we ever had a day good enough for our RM, DM and VP. We could crush every metric by 200% and they will find fault. We exceeded every BIO category and commission number and these are quotes I heard from this week: "but you missed on Credit cards" & "your best was good enough for today but tomorrow you will do better". Does it hurt to just say great job and move on without the all nullifying "BUT"? We crushed it and you just said that we were good enough for today but tomorrow we need to do better!?! This is our demonstrative culture of never doing enough so after a while people just give up. We can never be good enough so why put in the extra effort. Give us a damn number that will make you happy and make the company successful. Then, let us get there and be satisfied that our daily efforts and struggles were worth it. Then we can stack wins and have day over day consistency and long term success. Nobody can win in every category every day. Allow us to have pride please. Allow us to exist in a world where we are good enough instead of never good enough. These leaders who run this company must have horrible marriages because no one can live up to their expectations. Imagine a company and leader that appreciates you. Imagine the possibilities. Learn to inspire and lead better because WE SEE YOU. We know you are the problem even if you don't realize it. You see us smile but you miss the eye roll when you walk away. You need to consider yourself part of us instead of better then us. Our failure is your failure. The question is "did YOU make a difference today? Did YOU lift someone up? Did they want to become more like you or less like you? Once you realize we are more than numbers we can become a successful company again. Sorry you lost your way Verizon. Please come home.

Lol look how quickly negative votes come in on comments. I bet there's an upper management slack where someone alerts the group a new post or comment was submitted and then the whole group on slack has to come on here and downvote. "damage control" lol

My DM is the same way. Barks and insults everyone on slack, trying to belittle managers and make them feel worthless lol. Then when doing store visits, he spends no time on the floor to see how sh-t really is. Instead he's in the office with the GM who su-ks also, but they probably in there just laughing and smiling cause nothing ever gets done about her. And he truly thinks that his little a-s sitting at home saying we must not know how to do our jobs is solid leadership on his end. Truly laughable.
