What is up with the Home Health UM dept? It’s the most toxic place I’ve ever worked. Poor training, poor process, micromanaging from upper leaders. Threatening emails going out to all of the org- def not living the values. They should be investigated. My poor leader tries to shield the team from the toxicity on a daily. Honestly- a RIF would be welcomed so someone please tell me it’s coming soon.

I have known at least 2 nurses that internally transferred to that department. Both had been with Humana for over 10 years, and both quit with no notice due to the outrageous toxicity of the department. Losing good tenured folks there.
Post ID: @4bkg+1nDm8zES: RUN AWAY. There’s no ROI when you’re reviewing the first 60 days of care. I heard they’re in the hit list because none of our competitors have home health on their review list like we do. Makes no sense to review the lowest level of care when we are trying to avoid the higher levels of care.
Anyone hear if this program will continue on next year? I see job opening but don’t want to apply just to get laid off .
Post ID: @1gex+1nDm8zES, Medicare home health brought officially in house Jan 1. Got some Ls from Gulf states running the show with a few others that have little to no outside home health experience. I’ve heard it’s a real $!&t show and getting worse. Hardly any getting HH denied and we’re wasting millions on a huge team that can’t keep up. Bad bad decisions all around!
Toxicity is a trickle down from Bruce and Stockholders. Don’t be fooled into thinking they care about you. Be blessed you have a manager trying to make a difference.
Print out the toxic stuff, name names and send to Bruce Broussard and all the VPs for that area stating your concerns.... Anonymously!! via snail mail...
