Kelly and BBT board granted Suntrust the leadership of new bank? Not just at the executive level but throughout middle and upper management except the community bank which they don’t appear to care for anyway. Anybody really know?

Worlds biggest swindle. Kelly got played. David Weaver sold out and will soon be out himself. All of the major decisions and leadership changes are being driven by Suntrust and Bill Roger’s. Every department and policy is being remade to mirror Suntrust who only cared about the metro markets and large clients. Investment bankers running every department, whether they know a thing about it or not.
Lol…I get what the OP is saying…why wasn’t a BB&T guy like Donta Wilson put in the CEO suite
It was Technology, Suntrust’s bronze age systems looked impressive compared to the Stone Age systems that BB&T had
The answer to how it happened is pretty straightforward in my opinion. There are few things more dangerous than a simpleton who thinks he is smarter than everyone else - add power and narcissism to the mix, and these are the types of results.
What is disappointing to me is why the BB&T executive team surrounding Kelly King turned their backs on their employees. Before the merger, I had wrongfully assumed that they were solid individuals.
Hahaha
AVP
Shoot for the stars there buddy
I don't care what the reason is. I'll do anything to become an Assistant Vice President, and/or Banking Officer.
This one’s easy. Rogers was the smartest kid in the room and used the threat of letting US Bank buy Suntrust to leverage his way into anything he wanted. Worked to perfection with the ole country preacher. Merger of equals my derrière.
Never ask to tour the sausage factory!
Dontae ask these questions. It’s not a pretty answer!
