Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

This is just the start

I was in a meeting this morning and while they are offering employees to submit an exception every six months the plan is to allow it until next may and call the remaining people back.

Where did you hear that? We didn't hear that in our meeting.

But our team was PI---D. Everyone in our office was pi---d. There's going to be people leaving over this, even if our manager was telling people to let's see what happens.

Especially if people find out this was a result of upper management temper tantrums because people weren't coming in as they were supposed to be. I'll admit, I wasn't always in 3/week, but last several weeks my life has been whackadoodle with doctor's appointments and other things going on, and I live 45 minutes away with my doctor office another 30 minutes in the opposite direction. Maybe look at WHY they aren't coming in, due to real life issues rather than throw the tantrums.

Is the work still getting done? Yes? I mean, it must be. Schwab made record profits off us.

Remember how slow they were to commit to WFH when Covid hit. All part of the same old school attitude.
