Is it just me or do you too get asked by managers if you are the Sales Rep…? lol I’m not a SR, I’m a Merchandiser, but it’s kind of surprising when I walk into stores and get approached by management asking if I’m the SR because apparently they haven’t seen the actual SR in weeks or months. I have read several posts on this site from supposedly SRs and how they have so many accounts and they are constantly having to go behind and fix what others didn’t do. If you are a SR that actually does their job then that is awesome and I wish this company had more dedicated people like you. My previous SR before the Mission 1 changes was incredible and they knew how to run a territory. Yes, we were short staffed (just like now), but we could run the territory and hit objectives with just the two of us each month. Now…lol there is no incentive to sell and the SR is no where to be found. I haven’t seen them in months myself and they have lost more displays than they have gained. I know Merchandisers get thrown under the bus a lot and some are truly bad at their job, but the same goes for SRs. For the ones that actually show up, there is at least one that literally doesn’t even leave their house and some how manages to pull overtime after overtime each week…I guess the only way for some stores to actually meet their SRs is to refuse orders…that’s what I encourage the stores to do ;-) GS will not be so excited on your next evaluation.

They definitely thought they would attract good help for $16 an hour. Lol. They really were out of touch.
25 stores…I have 34. I’ve been put merchandising in 2 stores which is a 4 hour round trip from where I live because we are losing people. So if you barely see a sales rep, that’s probably why. Sorry, we can’t get to every little D store out there that makes 2k a month, that’s a 3 hour drive from where we live. And we definitely do still use gps phones. Don’t know where you heard that nonsense.
It's funny a ftow thinks the sales rep isn't doing anything when every sales rep I talk to is looking for another job. If they weren't doing anything you'd think they would want to stay!
SRs definitely still use GPS phones.
Probably SRs can stay home, since they don’t do GPS phones anymore! So now DM, RMS and SR hang at home while FTOW and merchandisers go to work!
I hear that’s the next step ! Territory managers where the sr manages the ftow and merchandisers all the way down to the scheduling
This structure is horrible. It's confusing to the stores. They should have changed the titles. Merchandiser to sales rep. Sales rep to territory manager. But then again why would the company actually do something that makes sense..
When you have 25 stores and half the time you are working deliveries, writing some orders its nearly impossible to even get into each store every week. Since ftow are writing orders and doing most of the merchandising you are pretty much the sales rep. Sales reps have become territory managers. Everyone has lost displays since mission 1 because you have to depend on others to order and fill them. Our service has gone to sh-t so why would we ask for more displays.
