Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

20+ Directors in VCG CX

There are 20+ directors in CX and still the website/app sucks. It keeps on having production issues on regular basis. Lots of flows are broken and are not defined properly. Overall experience is very outdated.

There is one director for each page. As you move from one page to another.. ownership moves between them from one team to another.. it’s a joke
it’s impossible to work with these guys. They do not understand any emerging technologies.

That whole org has been ducked-up for so long. It’s organized into such minute pieces of the site that there is no continuity in the flows, leaving the customers in a real pickle. Then add on territoriality plus the “that’s not my problem” mentality and it’s a complete sh*t show. Half the people in that org could (should) be fired. You might actually some gains if that were to happen. This comes from someone who formerly worked in that group.

Sad to see. The organization has been in place for a couple of years with heavy investment and little progress to show for it.

20+ directors is exactly why it sucks. Weak leadership. Decision by committee. Diffusion of accountability. It's like a Dilbert cartoon.
