I used to work at Oracle back in the day and it was a POS. Biz model was the same back then, acquire companies and then drain out all lifeblood.
Does it still su-k today? How bad?

It’s unfortunate they’re using reductions to further increase the stock price. I worked with Cerner teams for a while, and heaven knows people were already stretched and stressed. The best word I can think of to describe the environment was fear. I can’t think of anyone who was genuinely happy there or at least considering a change.
Still sucks. Stock price will make LE lots of wealth to build on. I guess be happy you made LE a wealthy man?
"look at the stock price trolls... "
So you are a dialed in owner of ORCL and that makes you feel smug. Curious about why you bother with this oracle layoff MB then.
Or maybe that's because you think oracle sux too?
How bad? Bad. Really bad. Really, really bad. Like "your-boss-pounds-you-in-the-a-s-every-day-type-bad". That's how bad it is!
A lot of these posts in the Oracle forum I am starting to believe are mostly not even from employees, just haters. And the trolls also seem to attack Oracle employees... "The industry has passed you by and you have no marketable skills"... look at the stock price trolls...
You sound angry and stressed. Problems at home? At work? Remember, EAP provides free, anonymous counseling

Stock seems to be ripping !!
Yes it's still awful. I let a former colleague talk me into working here, fully understanding the reputation. I thought I'd swim laps around the talent (true) but the leadership, poor GTM and constant RIFs have destroyed my confidence and possibly my career (this was to be my "rebound" job).
I've been left without a job to do, no goals, metrics etc for the last 8 months, to the point where I'm now working 10 hours a week to save face and using the rest of my time to find an exit. Literally have no work, being lied to, and waiting for a "Mandatory 1:1" from HR every week has been traumatic. And shocker - I can't find a way out of here. So boards like this are a sick therapy for coping.
Yeah, it sucks here.
Not much has changed. For those who used to work there that have moved on to new beginnings life is pretty good... for those who are still there its either two things... The industry has passed you by and you have no marketable skills so you are forced to stay... or you are good at being a lone wolf and doing the bare minimum which results in a negative customer experience all round. There are a lot of bullies who are left, who get by on relationships rather than productive output. It's like that in many companies obviously... but prior to joining Oracle I was like "hmm maybe I can use the disorganization of this company to my advantage" but that just ruined my mental health so I quit just 1 month shy of my 1 yr anniversary. A lot of people mention the doormat principle and i would 100% say its true. "churn and burn"... anyone who is left there obviously knows how play the game and stay afloat.
It's still a POS and it still suxx big-time, really really bad.
