Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

EL Thanks

I think the EL is doing a great job navigating uncharted waters. It’s not easy but they are stepping up and leading us to success. I know many feel otherwise, but I truly believe we are positioned to achieve purposeful results. If we can live One Team, we will prevail.

Anyone else on the call with a certain member of EL today? I hate how he casually talks about someone under him working 24 hours straight. Oh and all but announcing outsourcing and RIFs to a large part of the audience.

How can leadership be doing a great job IF their principal mantra is-

  1. Lack of any respect towards employees
  2. Cheating employees, misleading them, and HR blind to ugly going’s on all this while employees are made to overwork to pick up the slack from massive attrition
  3. Extremely dissatisfied customers with absolutely no sense of customer service or any pride in working for this purple tu-d of a company

Yes : @4fzt+1n1n7koi and the board rewarded Billy with a 27% increase in compensation for the stock price going down by half in a two year time period. Surprise right?

All you need to know about EL and BOD:
If you had invested $5,000 in 2020...
Truist stock opened 2020 at roughly $56.40 per share. The highest it got during the height of the bull market in 2021 was roughly $67.40 per share. But this year, in light of the banking crisis, the stock has sold off intensely and is currently trading below $33.50 per share.

So, if you had invested $5,000 in the stock at the very start of 2020 it would currently be worth $2,973 including dividend reinvestment. Had you invested that same amount in the broader benchmark S&P 500 index, your $5,000 would be worth $6,604 including dividend reinvestment.

They are truly "Best of Breed". I have the utmost respect for our Executive Leadership Team, and I am confident that they will lead us to new heights of corporate excellence! I could not be prouder of Truist right now! Also, I would like to thank them for accepting me for who, and what, I am, and for allowing me to bring my "full self" to work every day!

Assuming this is sarcasm…if not, don’t need to look any further than how much confidence the market has shown. Just an abysmal performance
