Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Is Humana discriminatory towards people without kids?

Has this happened to you? How do you push back?

Hey if you have kids it’s ok.you can skip child care and keep them at home with you everyone else does. Screaming baby or toddler it doesn’t matter.

No, I personally don’t find that they are discriminatory with people who have children or don’t have children. You have the ability to flex, and make up your time, if you need to get off early or leave during the day. You also have the ability to come back later in the day, and finish your work day. I’ve always found Humana to be extremely flexible with that kind of them, especially when I think about other employers that I’ve had.

My coach is great when I have problems with my children. I do always come back and finish my workday. I always make my numbers and work my hours. Sometimes I do have to flex, but always a top producer.

I sometimes cover for my peers who have kids but it's not systemic
