Why is that? I know this is not the case only here, but here it is becoming more and more frequent.

I've been at Chase for 16.5 years and have almost 30 years of experience between Bus Banking /Home Lending (currently in Home Lending). Myself and 2 others (also with Chase 20+ yrs) were advised on a zoom call with our VP that he prefers to hire individuals with minimal experience because those that have any extensive knowledge of the business are jaded...wth?!? Coming from a manager who has very limited experience and doesn't know which way is up or down but your high production/high quality employees are jaded, OK : / Apparently if you hire beneath the required standards these folks won't question or even realize how incompetent mgmt really is. Welcome to Chase!!! Can I just get a package please!!!! And leave the unjaded here on this sinking ship
This statement is very true. I am a former employee after 20+ years and ALL of the cruddy work nobody wanted to do or accounts people screwed up always landed on my desk or in my email because everyone knew I would get it done, get it done right and make things right for the customer. I'm convinced I was passed over multiple times for promotion or new opportunities because my department would no longer have a dumping ground. I've been gone over a year working for a few FI running my own division and I couldn't be happier.
(I also posted this on another thread - sorry for the repeat!)
The DOL is doing nothing to help either. AND look at our economy, Wall Street would be happy if we had a least 5% unemployment because companies would be spending more money on profits not salaries.
Management does not feel challenged or threatened by the less skilled employees. The mediocre are promoted and skilled ones leave.
That’s why they keep hiring Manila people less skilled less money!
because they are cheaper and the risk of having to fix what they sc--w up outweighs the cost of salaries
