Like many other associates at Humana, I am waiting for a bo-b to hit. I have been with Humana over 10 years and out of curiousity looked up several associates I have worked with in the past from other departments. Every single one of them have a recent (within the last month, as the date was included in message) automated reply advising they will be pursuing opportunities outside of Humana and the mailbox is not monitored. I was shocked and even looked a second time on some in disbelief. I am aware of the Employer Group exit and realize this will result in RIFs. Maybe my head is in the sand, but there has been no communication concerning these layoffs. I moved to the org chart in Teams and started to research associates within the entire team, including direct reports. Entire departments had the same automated message. And, yes, departments is plural. Is anyone else here aware of recent lay offs?

@iybg+1my4Xn8o- I am sorry you were laid off after 12 years. I know others in your shoes and leadership roles are hard to come by. I know at least three directors and four ADs that are no longer at Humana because they could find a job internally when RIFed. One of those had been out on FMLA off and on, so a real dirty trick! I also have heard the way the news was delivered was ridiculous. Not sure how a large call with multiple people getting RIFed is protecting anyone’s privacy!
Humana is a big hypocrisy , they don’t care about their associates as they try to make it seem and claim wellness is thier priority .
After working for Humana for 12 years and being in a leadership role for 9 years the way they communicated lay off was a complete slap on the face to all of us.
There is no transparency or real value or gratuity to those on the front line .
If you are not one to be liked by top management rest assure your role will be considered no longer needed as the perfect excuse to get rid of you.
Calling humana / care plus ethics’s hotline and HR 4 u is a complete joke they will never do anything to those in power who have treated you unfair poorly discriminated or harass you !
They all cover each others backs . Nothing is confidential when you call them to report any un ethical treatment .
You will just be targeted more and they will find a way to fire you !
On the other hand, why would they list the entire departments that were impacted, if it’s not related to you? Personally, I feel this last RIF was handled poorly, the one where last day was in January. People all around me on my team were getting axed and then, a bunch of us were called into a meeting that lasted all of 2 minutes saying, “if you’re on this call, you weren’t let go”….it was awkward how it was handled and it has horrible how it played out.
They announced the end of business line within a timeframe, so those people will be transitioning, hopefully, to different roles. It seems that the transparency is different than before….
Transparency? How is it that entire departments are rifd and all you hear is crickets? No communication at all. And it really disturbs me to bring up the 'Hi' page to see Bruce's smiling face in the midst of it all. I must have a different dictionary and definition for transparency.

SO many are leaving due to a RIF--I was in the first one in (2017), eons ago-- NOW they just install automated messages.

Hmmm… that’s really strange! I’ve never seen that automated message before, but I certainly believe you. I wonder if that automated message is a requirement that they are having associates place on their Outlook, before their email becomes permanently disabled. I certainly think something is going on behind the scenes. The frustrating thing about Humana, is that whenever layoffs occur, there’s NEVER any transparency from upper leadership. Even last year — when you think about the RIF’s that occurred, in addition to Bruce’s billion dollar in savings email — they never disclosed the actual number in RIF’s that took place, which departments were impacted, or even disclosed the percentage of the workforce that was RIF’d. In the townhalls, they preach about how transparent they are, but we were left coming to this website to see what departments were impacted and were nervous if we were on the chopping block. If they are currently in the midst of layoffs right now, it’s being done VERY quietly.
I know, I hadn't seen this before either....and the message indicates '...pursuing a new opportunity outside of Humana...'.
Strange, in my almost 10 years with Humana, if I sent an email to someone I didn’t know was rifd I never got an automated reply saying they were looking for employment outside of Humana, or that the mailbox isn’t monitored, the email just bounces back. And, not everyone that is rifd leaves Humana for an outside role.
