Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Sr Advisor offer

Fiserv folks - I got offer for Sr Advisor role in Fiserv Atlanta location with 4 days a week in office. Before accepting offer i just want to know how is the company and culture???? I m seeing lot of negativity about RTO and tracking hours…getting scared about all the comments :)

Are they really tracking 8hr/day with badge and sapience tool for all levels employees or for just contractors?

Appreciate any feedback/suggestions/comments on the offer and company

If you don't have a job then it is best to get one and hold it until you can do better.

Yes it is not 4 days in the office and there is monitoring software that is pushed out on the network.
In the engineering side in Alpharetta there is like 100 pounds of work that the management tries to squeeze into a 50 pound bag. And they know it
The executives came from 1st Data in the merger. Old Fiserv is gone. It is now a 1st Data company but called Fiserv.

I wouldn't bother. If that many posts in this sub-forum have not told you anything, nothing will.

Yes. Badge swipes and Sapience is now what matters. Customer service and employee satisfaction is in the toilet.

I say go in it with your eyes wide open. Depending on your tenure in your career and if you're not getting a lot of offers and can do the daily commute to the office, it might be worth considering.

You're obviously on this site and have read what people are saying. There's extremely low morale, mid level management's hands are tied, annual raises are very low, but your immediate team will probably be nice to work with, like someone else said. I've made lifelong friends here

It's a company in turmoil and in it's current state, it's not a place for longevity. But only you know your position and if it's a good career move.

Anybody with ambition has already left the company or are actively looking to get out. If you need a job, take it. I'm sure your immediate team will be nice. But yes Sapience will be installed on your laptop and they will be monitoring your badge swipes. You should assume you'll be five days in the office within a few months at most. You may also be randomly fired during the next rounds of layoffs. (which are not going to stop. This company only reaches targets by slashing and burning staff)

"Are they really tracking 8hr/day with badge and sapience tool for all levels employees or for just contractors?" Yes. Managers even have to account if you are not in the office for the mandatory time.
Seating and Parking in Alpharetta have been a challenge.
The comment about merit increases being 2%-3% is a little high. Expect 2% at best. This year was an exception due to inflation (imo).
The thing to remember is that probably in 2-3 years...everything will change. Frank and his policies won't be here forever. He isn't getting any younger. I don't think he sticks around the entire length of his contract.

If you need a job go for it just don’t expect a happy work environment or any flexibility or work life balance. FB doesn’t believe in any of that nonsense. He has destroyed what used to make this company great. Managers and Directors don’t even have any authority to help you or work with you.

Spot on about women, no equal pay for women I’ve seen it time and time again. For them to tout diversity and inclusion that does not apply to women’s salaries here…..

If you wanna accept it consider that you will get 2-3% merit increase every year. So If you can you better bump your salary before signing the contract to cover inflation for this and maybe next year...

There are people in Alpharetta working out of conference rooms and the cafeteria because there’s no room for them in cubes. Most conference rooms have 5+ people working out of them. Parking is another nightmare. If you’re not there by 8:30 AM, you’ll be walking a quarter mile from the far ends of the parking lots to get to the building.

I work in the Alpharetta office.

We (employees and contractors) are required to be in the office for 8 hours Monday-Thursday and can WFH on Fridays. If you need to leave for any reason you need to go back to the office and finish out your 8 hours that day. They track us using badge swipes and Sapience and run reports on both regularly. Our CEO reviews and questions the reports. He’s the main reason for the poor morale company wide.

There is no more organization here. No one knows who does what anymore. They’ve laid off around 8,000 people in the past few years and don’t backfill. They constantly reorganize departments. Everyone is doing the work of multiple full-time resources. We just keep absorbing the work of those who leave.

The company as a whole sucks because of top management and their constant gaslighting but the individual teams are very collaborative and the only reason most of us are still there.

I thought I heard Alpharetta was standing room only....

Well you listed a lot of monitoring which is very true. Badge in, badge out and managers have to review report to make sure you did your time. when you take a vacation you show up on report it's so weird.

Are you coming for the Sr advisor title cause it's probably not what you are expecting from senior in the title... There is no extra respect that comes with it. But if your a junior to the game not a bad place to start but do know there is no more upward mobility from there.

And if you happen to be a woman well wrong gender for this place.

Despite the Fiserv vs First Data fued that you may see on here both have some really good people working hard but clearly getting taken advantage of. Major pockets of leadership weakness depending on org .

All employees at all levels are being tracked and I promise you we'll be at 5 days mandatory in office for everyone before the year is over
