Just heard that leadership had a call today, and they are planning to implement 8 hours/day office time policy….. things are getting out of control

If my office does not have a swipe OUT... YET. How long do I have if I leave half days and work from home the remainder. Like I did for a year. Do you get written up first or do they just can you?

I heard that I have to return to the Fiserv office while I work for a client of Fiserv’s after I was RIF’d last year.

First they take away my on-call pay, now they expect 8 hrs/day, 4 days/wk RTO, 1 day/wk WFH...don't call me before my shift starts, don't call me after my shift ends. Not answering calls or responding to Teams/emails outside business hours. Btw, what are business hours for those who work on and support 24hr applications?

Turns out the most powerful person in the company isn't the CEO...it's the guy who pulls the badge reports...we need a name!

Even though they say you can take your fifth day at home they're still going to count it against you as bringing down your average hours spent in office per day. This isn't speculation this is what management is doing right now.

Did you not read the original email? Four days a week, for eight hours a day. Did I imagine that part?

There will also be a compulsory morning stand-up where all associates will be required to sing the new anthem and pledge allegiance to FB....this time will NOT be included in the mandatory eight hours as it will be considered leisure time to express joy of having the job. As for dress code, all associates will be issued two orange jumpsuits. On casual Fridays, you can wear sneakers with the jumpsuit. Associates logging 70+ hours in the office per week will be able to have closer seats during town halls. Badging in stations will only record the entry if "My pleasure to serve" is not spoken into the microphone when passing through. All makes sense. Happy workers make for big numbers!

Imagine working in a large multi-national corporation where the senior executives actually presented a cogent and transparent narrative around associate experience. One can dream!
