New position

Annoyed that I have tried to grow myself and looking to expand because honestly CDA work is mundane and monkey work. How do you get a new position. I get the you didn’t get selected email but no feedback. Terrible.

This is partially why I left after 25 years. I would be groomed/trained into positions on projects only to apply, interview and get the 'rejection' email. I was always told 'work harder', even when I had the top performing teams in my division and got reviews that exceeded expectations. It's true that it's good to know someone and/or to conform to their believes and agenda to get ahead. It stinks for hard working people like me (and many others within the organization), but I still had to try even when I saw the writing on the wall with favoritism and knowing they wanted someone other than me. I'm running my own division now with a new FI, and a few of my team members followed me because they knew I'd give them a chance, I know their work ethic and they deserved a better work environment.

Almost all of the time when they post a position, they already know who they are going to hire. Interviewing other people is just a formality.

The best way is to know someone. I have made 5 shifts in my 25 years at Chase and they were all because I knew someone who could vouch for me. You never know who could be an ally in the future. So never burn bridges

Just decide what type of position you're looking for. Once, you have an idea then look up mentor circle and search for that position. They'll be able to guide you on what steps you'll need in order to get into that position.

Look to move to another country.. that's where the jobs are going. Sorry, I wish there was an answer for you, however, there are a number of locations in the same predicament. Less and less positions available and no mobility. if something does open they are filled before there is even a post anymore.
