Has anyone taken paid family medical leave? Do you have to show any proof of sickness of family member or need a doctors note?

Their Caregiver Leave is paid time off for up to 4 weeks per 12 months. You did need documentation.
if its a family member you are caring for that would likely be unpaid leave. At best they would keep your job for you when you get back... if its you that is sick then you would have to apply for Short Term/Long Term disability and there is an extensive process that requires a full physical, its typically initiated through the Employee Assistance Program and is not guaranteed.
First it’s not paid and yes you have to have proof.
