Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

One step out the door

Working at Humana is a life stressor. Never would I recommend working for this company. RIFs occur daily.

Lisa Stephens and Brenda Belmundez have effectively shredded departments and morale. Keep up the good work ladies. HA! Have lost a tremendous amount of respect professionally and personally.

Lisa and Brenda are the hatchet "men" brought in for that purpose. Once they eliminate the cost suckers.. then will be removed, repositioned, or cut themselves. Karma bus makes a full circle

There’s so many with one foot out the door and guess what!? They’re never the ones to get RIFed. Brenda and Lisa are very decent individuals but do have the job of saving lots of dough which means getting rid of people. It’s a nasty job but someone has to do it.

It sounds to me like you should be proactive and put the other foot out the door. It would lessen your stress about possibly being RIF'd. Healthcare is a business and it's hard. Not making excuses for Humana, Lisa or Brenda but they are doing the dirty work that must need to be done. I enjoy working at Humana and am going to do my best to remain as long as possible.
Take care of yourself and do what's best for you and your family.
