Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Office Status

How is it looking at BH? I told my manager I had a doctors appointment scheduled for today. He said it was OK to work from home, but that I had to be in the rest of the week. Is there a lot of empty, or a successful revolt? Reading a message board is good for my mental health sometimes, but it doesn't always reflect reality. I don't know if I have the fortitude to work in this dreadful office that much in a row.

The environment is toxic. You will probably on the non-compliance list for that week. I don't think your manager can change that. They said it was a strict M-Th rule, Friday is optional. You should have taken that day off.

You hear that? "swift responses to failure to comply". They are conditioning you to be a good serf. All kneel before the king.

Some years ago my wife crashed her car and there indications - not true - that she had a stroke. My manager - a good, tough one - simply said GO! And that was as it should be.

I’m hearing Atlanta sites are packed today. Unless you want to join the job market, I would go in. I’m hearing there will be swift responses to failure to comply with this mandate.
