Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Voices in action (inaction?)

How does everyone feel about the survey? What sends a bigger message? Being honestly negative? Or not doing the survey at all and letting the lack of participation speak for its self? I’m tired of the lip service from management with no actual changes. Besides most of our issues are with senior leaders but it’s the direct managers that are impacted by the results.

To survey or not to survey? That is the question.

if my supervisor isn’t pushing back on his manager about these issues then he’s not doing his job

That approach is quickly cut down, so don’t blame your managers. I’ve been on a number of RTO calls within my org (up to SVP level). The message is the same - Franks says, so we need to do it - and there will be “problems” for anyone not falling into line (although they do concede there will be “a few” with exceptional circumstances that would be approved).

As has been mentioned on this board before, low scores all reflect badly on your manager. Bad comments will also get nowhere near Frank.

We are supposedly “owners” of Fiserv. A term that you don’t see thrown around as much now as it used to be. But as owners, don’t we have a say in things? If we add up all the shares of Fiserv have, I wonder how many that would be and if pooled give us a voice

I get what comments are saying but if my supervisor isn’t pushing back on his manager about these issues then he’s not doing his job. Maybe he can’t make the divisions but he should be pushing back to his superiors and asking them how to change the real issues. I’m tired of the shrugging and hearing its not in their control. Their afraid to use their voices to get things changed and im sick of it.

Take it and tell the negative truth

As stated before, the execs are immune to survey negativity. It’s all pushed down locally. On a scale of one to five the best option is always 3.

If you respect and appreciate your direct manager, take the survey. Senior leaders see the results (and lack of responses) as a reflection on your direct manager alone so you could be screwing your boss when senior leaders are your intended audience.
