It really feels heartfelt and genuine since the bank is forcing RTO, laying off employees, stopped matching 401k per check, and is moving everyone to VDI to track "productivity" by the second... It really does feel like Wells Fargo cares about my mental health since you sent an Email about it.

Well heres my two cents. Recently layed off which was not a big surprise and the severance is decent, so onward. I had 5 years at Wells, 1 as a contractor and 4 as a FTE. My first two years in AIES were great - great Managers, coworkers and work I enjoyed and was good at. Then I was reorged to CDEP where I encountered the biggest group of a--holes Ive ever had to deal with in my 25 years in IT. I was yelled at, belittled, harshly critisized, given no description of the role, no training or support, never shown or told how I could improve , and I called several of these people to talk it out and they all said they had no idea what I was talking about. They ghost you, just stop communicating but go to your Manager and complain. Cowards. The Managers here do not have your back unless you are senior or a partner ie they are a-s kissers. This ‘feedback’ shows up in your performance review of ‘inconsistently meets’ and its so harsh and mean spirited that its funny. Ever had a review say ‘you dont add any value’ with no specific details to back it up? I called the Ethics line, the mental health line and HR. Mental Health taught me some breathing exercises and told me to go do some thing fun. As someone else here said by all means fight back, which I did, but you wont win. My final review was full of lies and I demanded they change it but they wont. This time I was told to take a deep breath bc its not important, that my family and loved ones are. All of this caused me a serious amount of stress and anxiety - my friends and family were concerned, even my Dr told me to quit bc I was getting high blood pressure. But I didnt have the strength to look for another job and no other Wells manager in their right mind is going to hire me with those reviews. So I stuck it out untill the end of the year. Quite the experience and my integrity is in tact, I stood strong stayed cheerful and did my best. Very bad Managers, backstabbing jerks and just horrible mean people. So Im gone, I survived, but I will never ever listen to another ‘we care about our employees, we want to create a safe psychological environment of trust’ speech again. Shame shame shame and may karma do its work.

The dead collect no severance. Keep this in mind when listening to anything the C suite says.
Keep convincing every Bei that you care about anyone or anything other than your paycheck. You are another worthless hire. Our management looks like the United Nations with no experience or skills. When you were hired to head HR there was another example of the Charlie stupidity.

Google Wells Fargo suicides. Ayeisha Ewers in Atlanta. Wealth management employee dead from a gunshot su----e January 2023 Wells drives people to su----e by the mental abuse they cause people. So Bei what are you doing about this??!!! We demand answers. Wells Fargo can not continue to abuse employees.
They are worried about it. They're worried that our mental health might be too good. That we haven't "broke" yet under their constant stream of BS.

Mental health? Sounds like you would already have to be mental to want to work at WF.
Again, rolling out some late-to-the-game veneer. As OP states, there is a metric **** ton of ways to make our work lives a bit less hectic, but they just keep adding more things to cause (seriously) PTSD. Nothing like Big Brother being all up in your business while they find a way to displace you while your self-confidence is constantly bombarded with BS. Working here is like being in an abusive relationship--heads down, walking on egg shells, waiting for whatever policy (as--ult to your humanity) is coming down next.
WF doesn't give a rat's ar-e about our well being. Actions speak louder than words.

Many loyal and hardworking Wells Fargo employees who are paid below industry wages, are being terminated for performance reasons by both you and Wells Fargo management.
You speak about giving back to the community with corporate public relations events for media attention as well as reforming the firm after some scandals. Recently, on 12/2022, Wells Fargo paid $3.7 Billion for widespread mismanagement of auto loans, mortgages, and deposits.
I needed this job at Wells Fargo because I am taking care of my daughter who has cancer. You terminated me and now my family in the "community" is suffering.
I hope that you enjoy your multi-million dollar bonuses at the expense of both your current and former employees. You may have come from Chase. However, you are no Jamie Dimon.

But yet I was just short of being called a liar by accommodations when I submitted my medical providers request for telecommute accommodation.
And then questioned by my manager about my conditions because their manager asked them to.
Mental health means nothing to this place because even when the facts are staring them straight in the face, they choose to gaslight and minimize it. That’s three different employees, two of which are to be “leaders”. The other is to be working with employees that have disabilities. No one stands up for what the right thing to do here..
That was the day I stopped giving a rats *** about going above the minimum. They lost my loyalty then, over a year ago, and will never get it back.
We say: Your mental health is our top concern.
We do: Outsource and H1B your jobs to India, Philippines and China.

They care about our mental health? Since when? I was laid off and almost felt sui-idal over losing my job after 30 years. Instead of retirement I got the ax. Where exactly does Wells Fargo think at my age I am going to get another job? Then when I called eac for emotional support they pretty much told me to suck it up. No jobs to apply for unless I take a massive pay cut. The WF recruiter asked why I quit my job and when I told him I did not quit I was laid off his response was Dude that sucks! Mental health abuse at its best.

On the other hand, Wells has always said things like this. They always used to tout work life balances and blah blah blah. Then you come in the next day and they have you doing some fire drill staying until 8 pm.
This is just more corporate garbage to make it sound like they care, but proof is in the pudding.
The source of the problem is the same source that says it cares and wants to help. Familiar storyline throughout history.
WF has never matched with every paycheck. I worked for BofA and they did match with every paycheck. It was so nice to see that match amount with every paycheck.
However, WF has never matched with every paycheck. They used to match quarterly and now it is yearly. They SUCK! They are the WORST! They are the cheapest low lives that ever existed! And if I quit before the end of the year, I get no match at all! They SUCK! They are the WORST!
