Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Is this true about Support Org ?

“ MS has done a lot of wrong promotions. He brought in his friends from Cisco and PANW and created special positions here for them . The entire MS org is toxic !!! I am trying my best to get out of here ! Hopefully I’ll be able to land a decent enough offer”

This entire support org is so depressing with all the politics around it. I am glad I will be leaving soon.

I don’t know much about MS but the plight of managers is also the same in support. There are a few who get raises and promotion every few years but there are others who are equally qualified but ignored. MS or SM or anyone else in the leadership team please wake up and address this issue if you are reading.

yes , this is absolutely true ! I am surprised this level of blatant favoritism goes on in an organization like Oracle. Are the people above MS not seeing this happening? Or is MS so powerful that he cannot be questioned by SM or Larry ?

Yeah the knowledgeable people that actually know how to run things are paid much less than the people that go to them for help and don't know anything (including managers). Almost every IC knows way more than a manager.

No wonder O support has become extremely poor in the last few years.
I am glad i left this place in 2015 , looks like that was the perfect time to leave. Good luck to you guys with KI , MS , MG , MA and all

Good lord working in Oracle Support sucks ba--s. MS is such an a-s clown. So happy that MG got kicked to the curb. I left that shithole 6 months ago; still come here to deal with the PTSD of being there. Good luck to you all.

KI and his gang(Directors, Managers) all are his favourites. Results of favouritism at its core. Even if you are super qualified nothing wins over favouritism. Glad that i left the org for good !!

Is this the same KI who misbehaved with a female colleague in OOW few years back

You guys definitely know some inside stories. :)
MA who KI reports to has no clue on what he is handling, so he has to rely on KI to run the little org he is given by MS.
MS should let MA go and have KI handle the responsibility.

“ the number of incoming SRs have gone down considerably and Now they are fighting each other to get SRs assigned to their own team. ”
I know exactly which teams you are talking about. Some of them became premature Directors 😄 and have no idea what to do now. Most of them doesn’t have the quality for the level they are in now. They can continue to hope KI will protect them from being exposed. People like you and me under them have to suffer in the mean time!!

There has been someone talking about corrupt mid-mgmt on here rather intensely.

Um, that would be you...

Corrupt blah blah blah mid-management blah I'm so bu-t-hurt blah blah, employee persecution blah, VP inquiry blah, illegal blah blah

Have you considered therapy for the massive injustice you experienced while at Oracle? Go to the HR site and look up "EAP". You can thank me later.

It is very important for those of us who have been so badly manipulated to stick together. Each of us has had suggestions made to us that we were not aware of and these may have affected our behavior at various times. But, at this point, we are all friends, or should be.

There has been someone talking about corrupt mid-mgmt on here rather intensely. That seems to be the problem to me. Mid-mgmt sc-m-bags who lied both up and down the management chain to separate and confuse those of us who are honest and decent people. The management above the sc-m-bags is blameless in my view, as they were always being manipulated, as was I.

True justice needs to be served, as we are not the only ones affected. The number of people hurt over time looks enormous to me and we have to also be concerned with those that might be hurt in the future, should no action be taken. Action must be taken. This must be dealt with.

Too many in Mid mgmt are dead weight. They steal from Oracle and abuse employees. Oracle needs to do internal investigation and find out the truth then hand over the corrupts to the Feds.
If they don’t do their own thorough honest internal investigation then, the Feds will. Oracle is a mess. It’s past time for all of this to stop.
Good people are being layed off while the corrupt continue to steal from the company. Upper mgmt needs to take more control or shareholders will get the authorities involved. Middie mgmt has abused Oracle as much as they have employees. Upper mgmt may not care but shareholders and the masses of
stockholders do care.

‘Is this true about support org ‘

Yes it is true, i can confirm as i’m still part of that org. As an M3 I’ve seen a build up of insecurity among people here over last 3 years after MS took charge. Adding up too many middle manager layers is not good for the org.

This must be true that Support people are not even considered. I work in support and have been trying to move into another role at Oracle for a while now. I've put in for 5 different jobs that I am fully qualified for and they don't even give me an interview.

Moving to a different Org within Oracle? They do not even consider your application if you are working in support. I learned that the hard way .

Yes , this is exactly what happened. Some managers are promoted to directors with literally no change in responsibility. Now they are all Directors with a fatter pay check. Anyone working in App support should consider moving to a different org , or outside of Oracle.
