More Strict That I Thought

I really thought the RTO could be avoided on my end, considering my manager and half my team aren't at BH. But according to my manager if we don't meet the 4 day swipe min they call him and he needs an answer to where I was.
More rhan half my job is waiting for things, I don't need to be in this dry a-- office that much. It's mind-numbing and a productivity ki-ler.

Aren’t we only required to work 7 hours a day due to lunch ? Is it 4 day swipe or is there a hour limit too

Wow I'm so glad that I have another fully remote job just waiting to be signed. I started searching right after when the merit increase was sent. Since December, every month we just receive farewell email from another employee who just left the company from our domain. It's really sad how things turned out since mandatory home office.

Technically a FTE would be calculated at 35 hours if you are an exempt employee

We are all absolutely required to be in the office for 8 hours Monday-Thursday with no flexibility. That was confirmed by my unit’s VP earlier this week. While he doesn’t have an issue with it, he knows those above him will.

If you leave for a dentist appointment or to pick your kids up from school, you need to either have come in super early or return to the office that day to hit your 8 hours. What’s even the point of being an exempt employee???

So far for our office they don't care about how many hours or minutes you were there. If you swipe in drink some coffee and swipe out you are good to go. Many people are doing it so I guess they will start counting actual time in the office when 4-day office will be mandatory.

My manager pulled out the classic "I see you're here for 8 hours but we don't technically get paid for lunch" FB was spot on when he compared us to McDonald's.

This is like being back in Junior highschool again... maybe we'll get sent to detention.

Is this whole 8 hour in office for real? What happens if we goto lunch outside the office, does that count against us ?

When the main goal for the entire enterprise--i.e. "Job #1" is to satisfy FB's vanity NJ tax credit, this is what you get. The bumbling manner in which its being rolled out is tragically funny if seen from afar. You know there was a meeting where they braintrust discussed--lets start saying three days, then "majority", then four days, etc... The sheep won't even notice! We're so smart!
