Been here for a couple of years now and I loved every bit of it but now when you can't wait for the weekend's to arrive you know something is wrong. No good thing last forever that part I get and I hope for the Best for everyone here at Well's.

Commercial Banking went through a round of layoffs starting last week. They laidoff RMs (sales deal makers), PMs (underwriters), and other staff. San Francisco, Oakland, and Concord lost some people. Additionally, there are some quite firings that started this week.
Next week is going to be big one.
I remember so many companies that were once great to employees.
Right now these companies are like visa farms and they couldn't care less about us. They all have the ability to outsource, and rightly do so.
There are layoffs every year. They say we are the greatest assets. So many of H1B and OPT are coming because of labor shortages since 2010, yet so many of us going for unknown reasons.

Horrible place to work. Anyone that axes their 25 year plus employees should not be in business. They mentally torture employees with their constant threats. Anyone who is thinking of working here should know you will be eliminated unless you live in India
We need to unionize. Other banks may not need to, but Wells is a special kind of animal.
A literal few at the top are ruining things for the 99% the actually get the work done.

I blame RTO and the lack of honest conversation about the topic. Just forcing their hand.
