Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I wonder why JPM’s Layoff page isn’t anywhere near as busy as ours

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-jpmorgan-employees-gripe-dimons-184136502.html

Read this article today about employees complaining about Jamie’s hard stance on RTO. So I checked out their Layoff page and they average only 1 post every 2 or 3 days. We average 10 per day, often more.

I thinks it’s because Jamie is willing to pay higher-than-market salaries/bonuses to attract top talent. His employees know they are better off staying where they are.

Charlie wants to run a JP Morgan-style bank with JP Morgan talent, but pay JC Penney wages.

Maybe WF employees are more high maintenance and use this site as a free way to maintain their mental health

You got to love a guy who:

  1. Is unable to communicate without over- used internet slang.
  2. Is so insecure that his only contribution is to whine about everyone else whining.

The industry is constantly evolving and WF has not been that innovative. We need to evolve.

Delivery of services like mobile has evolved but name me a new bank product in the last 30 years. Oh yeah CDO's. They didn't get us in too much trouble at WB, just a name change to WF.

@1ecg I'm the longest-tenured person on my team (2+ decades) and you can be damned well certain it isn't me who is trying to keep everything in spreadsheets.

I can point fingers at less tenured employees who are, though.

Innovation will never happen with morale in the sh!ter. Leadership should probably keep that in mind while they are repeatedly kicking us in the junk.

Why aren’t other pages as active? People don’t stay as long there. JPM and other banks don’t have as many long term employees as WF. Fact. That traditional mindset breeds stagnation. This is not the 60s, 70s and 80s where long term employees get the gold watch and are praised. The 25+ year ‘loyal’ employees are not always the best idea. The industry is constantly evolving and WF has not been that innovative. We need to evolve.

They would never dream of laying off their long tenured employees like we do. Their employees actually respect management. Chainsaw Charlie could use some pointers from professional management and their strong CEO

They also didn't over hire like they did here. I'm assuming they invested in technology instead of throwing bodies at the problem. They also have a much bigger workforce in I/P. We're about 10 years behind on that front

Also the jp morgan guys are in New York. Too many people for too few jobs fighting over scraps. That is why they accept this horrible hard charging. Employees are worthless new york leadership style. They have to or starve there
