RTO gives me the freedom to go to the office and do nothing. After a long weekend I can go in and rest. Catch up on my tv shows. Shop online. Go out at lunch for a couple of hours and run errands. All why my lazy Charlotte processing manager is MIA. She has never come in the office. Works like a charm. And the best part is now have double the PTO!!!!!!
Dear Charlie,
Many loyal and hardworking Wells Fargo employees who are paid below industry wages, are being terminated for performance reasons by both you and Wells Fargo management.
You speak about giving back to the community with corporate public relations events for media attention as well as reforming the firm after some scandals. Recently, on 12/2022, Wells Fargo paid $3.7 Billion for widespread mismanagement of auto loans, mortgages, and deposits.
I needed this job at Wells Fargo because I am taking care of my daughter who has cancer. You terminated me and now my family in the "community" is suffering.
I hope that you enjoy your multi-million dollar bonuses at the expense of both your current and former employees. You may have come from Chase. However, you are no Jamie Dimon.
Michael C. (pen name for now)
"I have to go into the office and actually work now, so I'm going to go cry on message boards" lolololol
Mike Venable destroyed our processing. The guy has no clue. Another great Charlie hire. Laid off our seasoned experienced processors and left us with nothing. Another example of poor decision making from someone who has no clue. Everything was running perfectly and now look at the mess. Might as well permanently shut down mortgage. No one wants to do business with us.
Have H1B and OPT, will hire
Plenty of companies still offering remote work because they are smart. They know employees love that work and life balance. They love and respect their employees. They want to make their employees happy. They respect their employees. They want people to want to work for them. Wells Fargo on the other hand hate their employees. WF could care less about anyone as evidenced by laying off long tenured good working loyal employees. f&ck the stagecoach. I had 5 job offers after I got axed from other great mortgage companies who think Wells Fargo sucks too!
It's a big corporation with lots of different groups, so maybe you were unaware, but full time WFH was very common. Thousands and thousands of employees did it. I went to school and got certs specifically so I could land a role that allowed for it, I did it for years before COVID at a very high level, and then some pencil neck POS from NYC decided to take it all away because "reasons". These id--ts will be gone to destroy another company in a year and the day they leave will be the best day in company history.
"Did people really think they'd be able to work from home forever?"
Yes, I did it for 16 years prior to RTO.
Did people really think they'd be able to work from home forever?
There are no jobs to apply for once they ax you. So the RTO is a way to get people to quit. There are still plenty of companies offering remote jobs. Wells Fargo just wants to get rid of people and if they cant force you out with RTO they will look for ways to fire you. So play the game and do what everyone is doing. Go in. Swipe your badge and leave. 2 hour lunches. Catch up on personal email and watch tv on your phone. No managers in any of these offices to see any of this. It is very easy to not work
hate RTO... time for me to drive to an empty floor....swipe my badge and come back to home office where the work gets done
Omg.. imagine if you poured all this energy into your job. All the crybabies need to go back to the office. Sheesh.
It’s a game of chicken. Quiet Firing vs Quiet Quitting. We just want severance. They just want to avoid paying up to make us leave. We’re all holding each other hostage. No one is going to budge. Wells Fargo is a pressure cooker waiting to pop!
