When will companies start to understand that we don’t want a bunch of amenities that make us spend more time in the office? We don’t want to spend time in the office. If I decide to spend hour playing pickleball, then I need to work an hour later in the afternoon. I want to go home, I don’t want to stay. So I will not play pickleball. What a waste of money. So unbelievably frustrating.

Don’t forget most of the c-suite have their weekend palaces outside of the city and their penthouse pads in Hudson Yards…so going the RTO commute is getting on the elevator or walking across the courtyard.
There’s a company called Red Ventures that has tons of amenities- fitness center, gym for basketball, beer gardens on the roof…… places like that aren’t created to make your time there more enjoyable, they are there so you don’t leave the campus and work extra hours.
Spending billions upgrading the buggy whips. Good job WF. Just think, someday maybe we'll enter the 20th century.

I actually love pickle ball. I'm not playing it at work though. That's an even bigger waste of time than the not-work I'm already doing in the office while staring at the clock.
Corporations would rather spend a couple of million dollars to get you back in the office to support a bad CRE portfolio than save money by offloading the CRE and having you work at home.
That's the forward-thinking, herd-following management team the Wells Fargo BOD hired.
C SUITE IS ALWAYS 10 years behind. They are completely out of touch with the rank and file. They have their own offices, secretaries, fly private, chefs, cleaners, landscapers, and Nanny’s watching their children. They can’t relate to the rest of us and more importantly DON’T CARE TOO.
