Did anyone get promoted in GBS during their review cycle?
I was promised a promotion and they keep saying it’s coming soon. Are they f**king with me so I don’t quit??

We submitted promotion requests back in December and have been told that it’s waiting for approval for months… it’s not your manager fu----g you over, it’s SLT. The managers shouldn’t have promised promotions because everything here is lies anyway.
Don’t wait for the promotion. Leave this job.

Don't you just love how they throw around how much growth the company has - then when you ask for a backfill or a promotion it's "ooh budgets tight, we can't afford it"

Yes they are messing with you. Promised promotions have been pushed out for months. It's a damn shame they just can't communicate the truth and keep leading you and others along. Please don't hold your breath and use this as motivation to move on. You are worth more than their empty promises.
Supposedly all promotions are on hold till this summer. I have a direct waiting for one as well.

I left recently but it took me well over a year to get a promotion through for one of my direct reports. When it did occur I was unhappy with the amount they were given. It was not what I asked for. It’s very frustrating as a manager wanting to do right by your team and always being given the run around.

Lol. I know two people promised promotions 6 months ago… “it’s sitting with HR” is what they’ve been told. Don’t get your hopes up
