Straight up not having a good time.
Resign effective the day before a major reorganization. You can get lost in the management shuffle and HR may not get notice you left.
Sent my computer and credentials back fedex and still got 2 more checks. Had to call HR to let them know.
If it’s only a few checks it’s too much trouble to back out so they simply drop it and send a backdated separation notice.
May work may not. If you’re departing for greener pastures it’s fun to take a couple of checks from Frank with you.
