Over 150 U.S and Union bank branches closing mostly in California on May 26. They keep saying all front line employees with have jobs but they haven’t told us what our new assignment and location will be. Where will they fit all of these employees?! We have about a month left…

incompetent SVP it more like incompetent Vice Chairman. The guy is literally mandating that SVP's and DM's take naps and log their feelings and reflective best selves vs focusing on growth and staff development. The emperor has no clothes and absolutely no clue on how to run a bank while his regional leaders vape on regional calls and curse out the VC behind his back. And the poor staff in the branches are just waiting for the layoffs while struggling with terrible technology that crashes in front of customers.
Does anyone know what the total headcount/FTE after the merger? Before the merger USB had about 77,000 or more FTEs.
Layoffs should be next week
My guess is if you didn't find a place by now your most likely getting laid off.
All branch employees have jobs is what they’re saying. But how are they going to fit all of these employees to other branches and bring up FTE?
I’d love to know the wording of what exactly is being said to branch employees. And are people seeing this “you have a job” message in writing or just hearing it? With 150 branches closing it just doesn’t make sense that everyone’s going to have a job going forward. I guess is all the full-time people are made part time or something.
Layoff announcements start tomorrow. Additionally, employees do not feel safe due to Executive team who cannot make decisions and employees are lashing out to each other in this mass confusion called SD1 . It’s just getting worse every day. Why do we have so many incompetent SVPs at USB and MDs at UB . Titanic is sinking and no one is ringing the alarm bell. Everyone wants to report status Green and look good. Wake up because when the titanic sinks so will your jobs .
They lied…
