Any news about our layoffs is tiny compared to the big players. Kyndryl has zero name recognition, and no one cares.
I am really surprised the press has not picked up on this yet. There is a huge amount of layoffs and nothing….
I left Kyndryl in September 2022 because I was certain I would be caught in a massive layoff. It was a good decision for me. I do agree that the spin has been a **** show.
I'm not sure it was them 'holding out' as much as it was figuring what the bleep they're doing. The 'transformation' and separation from Big Blue has been a complete ****show. Even the cuts have been a mess of paid idle 'bench' people and outright layoffs. It is all chaotic, and adding insult to injury is the rat-faced CEO pulling in over 20 million dollars as it loses money....
Kyndryl held out for over 18 months (from Oct 2021 to April 2023) while profits were in the red the whole time. Also, there have been large layoffs at Google, Salesforce, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Redfin, etc.. Even Apple is laying-off. https://techcrunch.com/2023/04/19/tech-industry-layoffs/
It certainly has.
