With the older Sapience Buddy, they claimed it was to help you stay on task and take regular breaks to boost productivity (though it was used to monitor activity behind the scenes). The new Sapience Lens captures data behind the scenes and the data isn't available until a day later via a portal. Hardly capable of helping you boost productivity after the fact. Plus the fact that "Buddy" was HORRIBLE about collecting accurate data, whereas "Lens" is VERY effective (as long as it's not dropping data before reporting it in, which is fairly frequent). The data is rolled up to your manager, and their manager, etc. Top level execs also get compiled data on some dashboards as well.
The person who mentioned 6.5 hours is correct from what I've been told about the requirements. It tracks both the windows that have focus on your computer throughout the day, as well as if there is any mouse or keyboard activity. It also monitors teams, if you're in a call with 2 or more people, it gives you credit for being in a meeting, however it does distinguish between being in a meeting where you're active, and one where you're passively listening/viewing. Clock too many hours in passive meetings and you'll end up on someone's radar.
I've not been told anything about it capturing screenshots, but it does have system level access that would allow it to collect them, And I have noticed my LCD panels "flicker" occasionally for several months now; but that could be related to any of the spyware on the machine, it could be screen caps being taken, or just poor performance caused by all the monitoring cr-p installed on the machines.
When accepting any equipment from a company, caveat emptor! Remember, companies, schools, and more have been caught after they've enabled mics and cams remotely. Additionally NEVER install company software on your personal computer or phone, or at least not your "daily driver", buy a walmart special to put that stuff on, if you must. All of that applies a thousand fold at Fiserv or it's companies given FB and PC's history with spying.
