Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I hear people talking about Sapience?

Does everyone have sapience installed? I asked some managers and they said they don't use it or if they did, it was a couple years ago. I would I know if Sapience is installed on my system?

Also what's up with that 4 day in office and 1 day out? Sounds like zero flexibility like the olden days...

Sapience is just a tool - and like any tool it is bound to be misused. Sad part if that Fiserv is taking the latter route. Are there bad employees - sure there are - always has been. Are there slackers who don’t pull their weight? Of course there are. But the way Fiserv chooses to implement this tool is to suspect EVERYONE of being a slacker for ever and ever. Hate the culture..

Executives seem to think that removing or waiting out "bad actors" and reinstating Sapience works. It has been mentioned on this board almost every year. They don't understand that fixing themselves would fix a lot of problems here.

Being known for not providing any decent service and having predatory fees does NOT equal success. Very easy to say it's "fixed" and then bailing out. Sounds a little like his tenure at J.P. Morgan.

With the older Sapience Buddy, they claimed it was to help you stay on task and take regular breaks to boost productivity (though it was used to monitor activity behind the scenes). The new Sapience Lens captures data behind the scenes and the data isn't available until a day later via a portal. Hardly capable of helping you boost productivity after the fact. Plus the fact that "Buddy" was HORRIBLE about collecting accurate data, whereas "Lens" is VERY effective (as long as it's not dropping data before reporting it in, which is fairly frequent). The data is rolled up to your manager, and their manager, etc. Top level execs also get compiled data on some dashboards as well.

The person who mentioned 6.5 hours is correct from what I've been told about the requirements. It tracks both the windows that have focus on your computer throughout the day, as well as if there is any mouse or keyboard activity. It also monitors teams, if you're in a call with 2 or more people, it gives you credit for being in a meeting, however it does distinguish between being in a meeting where you're active, and one where you're passively listening/viewing. Clock too many hours in passive meetings and you'll end up on someone's radar.

I've not been told anything about it capturing screenshots, but it does have system level access that would allow it to collect them, And I have noticed my LCD panels "flicker" occasionally for several months now; but that could be related to any of the spyware on the machine, it could be screen caps being taken, or just poor performance caused by all the monitoring cr-p installed on the machines.

When accepting any equipment from a company, caveat emptor! Remember, companies, schools, and more have been caught after they've enabled mics and cams remotely. Additionally NEVER install company software on your personal computer or phone, or at least not your "daily driver", buy a walmart special to put that stuff on, if you must. All of that applies a thousand fold at Fiserv or it's companies given FB and PC's history with spying.

Guys if you are capable and can find another job easily, stay away from Fiserv. Companies don't need Sapience to micromanage employees. Its really annoying and only people with slave mentality work for these kind of organizations and actually companies are looking for slave kind of employees only. It all about control and I anticipate more and more companies will be doing this and making employees life he-l. Sapience will monitor activity on your computer every 5 min and mark you as inactive if there is no activity.

Frank was in trouble at JP Morgan for spying on people:

Sapience is not about productivity. Even in their website it’s specific to look at what employees are doing. Anything else that is said is corporate nonsense.

@1lej+1md7Plzg

It sounds like if you have Sapience Buddy installed on your PC, then you have a control freak boss? This piece of spyware is totally a monitor tool.

All pcs are supposed to have Sapience Updater which is just a backend tool and then if you are set as a monitored employee, you also get Sapience Buddy which is the tool that tracks your productivity, and it can be seen running near your system clock.

Search for sapience buddy in bottom left of screen. It's there. Been there. I've heard 6.5 hours of keyboarding keeps you off a list.

Most managers don't have time to look at the sapience data for their direct reports.

Speaking of sapience... the original purpose why it was created was to help employees to learn to focus & spend time using the application critical to your role as opposed to email.

The data is clear, I get as least double the focus time at home & more hours logged on to the applications I need to do my job. (Also top 20% had 10 active hours, now with RTO, it is less than 8)

Instead of seeing obvious data, frankie decides to use it to spy on his workers & just ignores the data that doesn't fit his narrative.

I believe sapience is on everyone’s computer. Search your C drive or control panel programs.
