Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Nobody should be worried about being laid off

Think about it, how much worse could it get at any other employer than it already is here? I'm convinced that those who were laid off in the last round are the lucky ones. They get severance and can start again with a better employer. We get to continue working at this toxic place with more work added to our plates. I don't feel like a winner in that situation.

UnCarrier died with last year's layoffs. In so many ways since then, we are just a "carrier" now.

I am waiting for the package as well. But I am not working the "extra" hours. It is the SLT's fault that they laid off all these people. People that are needed to do the work. The SLT created this toxic over-worked environment. I (among many) will continue to work my required 40 per week. But I will not work 1 hour more than that because that just enables the SLT continued bad behavior.

I’m ready for layoffs. Frankly I’m exhausted from the extra work and turmoil. My bags are packed and I’m ready to go 😂

I was affected by TMo’s layoffs last October and it was a blessing. I worked for over 17 years and spent countless time working around the clock and felt unappreciated. I finally found a job that values me and provide me with the work-balance I was missing. Thankful for the opportunity to work with my amazing peers at T-Mo. Good luck to those still working there and if you are affected, I am hopeful that you too can find a better opportunities out there.

At&t has let over 5,100 go since January. You are not sp3cial and even CWA can't save you.

that is good mindset, just take this job to pay your bill and food, nothing else.

Totally agree, I'm so done with this company but just can't quit. It pays the bills. So hoping next batch of layoffs, I'm included! A severance package would help until I get something better. Good luck to all!

The unjabbed didn't get severance. And now the mandate is gone. This is proof that they will sc--w you and not think twice about it.

It can get a lot worse. For as much as T-Mobile has changed since the Sprint merger, it's still not as bad as most workplaces. I feel fortunate that we were able to avoid layoffs for many years. Unfortunately, what's happening now is we're starting to be more and more like other companies and less like the un-carrier.
