Contractor becomes architect, no value for existing fulltime employees

Okay, where do I begin? I've been working here since around 2005, so I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable.
A contractor with considerably less experience—possibly less than 10 years as an associate and that too as an architect—was hired by my AD.
His spouse is currently on the same team, which only makes matters worse, and they appear to keep information from other people.
As I get older, my team and I have been told there will be no promotions. There are a few senior software engineers on my team.
I believe it is inappropriate for a husband and wife to work together, especially if the husband is the individual who is reviewing his wife's work. It goes without saying that the husband will always have good things to say about his spouse and negative things to say about many other people.

Contractors enjoy greater visibility and appreciation than employees, and as was already mentioned, the husband and wife previously worked as contractors. Although there are discussions to make the spouse an associate, she still works as a contractor.
I've been annoyed by this for a while, and so did an anonymous report to management.
Do you not believe that having a husband and wife on the same team is unfair to the other players? Why doesn't Humana management take this into account?

I am not sure why is Humana allowing husband and wife to work on the same team.

We all know there is blatant nepotism here at Humana. Many promotions of unworthy individuals and people sleeping with and shacking up with those they report to. It’s how bubble headed blondes get ahead!

Reached out autonomously? If as you say everyone knows this is an husband/wife, and the nature of the role, you have quiet clearly outed yourself.

@mha+1maCBP52 - TY for response.

Everyone knows they are husband and wife. I'm surprised how Humana allowed that kind of hire, especially when one spouse gets to review and approve other spouses' work. Much of my work has come to review and re-review but his spouses' work gets approved all the time. Much to everyone's amusement the contractor wife has an impeccable record which is sarcastic because no one else has such a record.

The only reason for this is the husband helping the wife with the correct approach.

Yes, I have reached out anonymously. I want to ensure the team is a fair game, and husband and wife do not get any kind of edge over others.

Do they know their husband and wife? Have you reached out to the ethics line about the husband reviewing the wife?
