Why does it seem to me that Oracle values experience less than most competitors?

One thing is for sure, working at Oracle, you’re going to get an experience. No one guaranteed that you are going to like it, but you’re going to be surprised.
I had a director that has managed to work his way up to a VP level. His comment was ability is more valuable than experience and went on to imply Oracle was a leading edge company needing new talent, not old knowledge. It was humorous since the CX product they acquired over 14 years ago is still running the same C code that was what the developer was a master of when the comment was made a decade ago and any new hire assigned to maintain it quits in a year or two. Ergo, upper management is delusional about what is really going on at the ground level.
Oracle doesn’t hire nor value experience. And when it has it, those employees end up leaving. One would be surprised at the amount of clients that don’t want to deal with Oracle, because it lacks experts with experience in the industry sector. Everything is run out of the US, and poor leadership is evident in how everything is spreadsheet management on sales numbers not strategic. All B/C grade performers, with the exceptional A grade players already looking at options beyond O.
Experience is valued at Oracle,
… just as a negative factor.
The more you know, plus excellent relationship with your accounts, is a sure fire combination to be riffed.
How much is experience valued here?
Doormats are valued for their exploitability. If they are experienced doormats then all the better, but being a doormat is the #1 pre-req at Oracle.
They don't need people with experience. Only bootlckrs and yes men. It you don't get that by now, you don't have any experience
Oracle has been operating on the cheap labor model for a long time now. As a customer of a product bought by Oracle, I prefer outside consultants who worked for the original company, or have been away from Oracle for a long while. My group is literally just a few budget cycles away from scraping annual support because we don't get much benefit from it.
And don't forget the corrupt mid-management who don't want to work at all.
Because they want cheap labor. They say there are two kinds of people at Oracle:
