This company's strategy is a failure in my opinion. Doesn't it seem like Fiserv is rapidly losing its competitive edge over its competitors?

Fiserv is a house of cards.
So much of my groups recent conversion work has been "saves". Basically Fiserv flailing at disgruntled clients promising switching to another Fiserv core will be "better". This is being done to re-lock them into longer contracts. Eventually when they find out all the cores are struggling with support, this is going to blow up in Fiserv's face.
And yes there is a steady stream of deconversions too, including some huge clients. And many times no bandwidth to schedule them.
A backlog of deconversions? Really?
Our competitive edge is that we do not have enough employees left to help banks leave Fiserv. There is an exit backlog that is filling up faster than we can convert them out.
Considering the number of banks that are leaving to competitors, there is no competitive edge at all. Consider the number of new sales. Not nearly enough to replace client that are leaving. Leaky bucket. Very leaky.
Our dept is very understaffed and several candidates have turned down offers due to FB’s in office requirement and how insulting they advertise remote hiring for call centers…they don’t value their current associates..and don’t think the rifs are done…their method of choice will continue… watch out for yourself
Ginny from IBM is perfect for the Forum. She damn near destroyed IBM from within and left it far reduced from it's glory days. I know, I was an IBMer for a few years, but long before Lady Macbeth.
Have you ever heard any executive even acknowledge who the competition is?
To build off this comment - "Their strategy is buy the competition and cannibalize it until there is just fiserv." Go look at who is speaking at Forum, Ginny from IBM. That is all IBM does is buy so they can get customer base, layoff people to make the bottom line look better, and so on, and so on....

You're assuming they have a strategy that extends past the end of the current quarter. As far as I can tell, the plan is to continue both forced and voluntary attrition to make the "numbers" they need. They've rolled out a completely hollow "customer service initiative" as propaganda to keep more clients from bailing due to sh1tty service from understaffing, but I doubt any clients actually buy it.
Their strategy is buy the competition and canibalize it until there is just fiserv.
