Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Long term prospect for Humana UM

While the clinical side providers may well be in good position, I wonder about the UM/insurance side. I gotta think AI is knocking on the doorstep to replacing much of this work done by RNs, UMACs, etc.

I have no idea what is coming. I just know the work is not here anymore. Barely enough for 1/2 of work. It’s rather scary.

Over the next 5-7 years, AI and robotic automation will eliminate the need for most UMAC and non- clinical jobs, with anything that isn’t prohibited by a state contract being sent oversees. Many of the UM and CM nurse jobs will also be sent oversees, unless prohibited by law. Licensure requirements for some reason are not taken into consideration in the Philippines.
