Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

No Fiserv execs have purchased Fiserv stock in over a year...

Makes the theory of them knowing the company will not remain intact very plausible... When the leaderhip is no longer investing in its own company, its time to evaluate why.

Maybe they think the stock price has gone up too much since the merger and it no longer supports such a high valuation?

No, wait. We are talking about a flat line.

Former employee. Offer to return includes stock bonus. No thanks. Cash only.

And with merit grants coming out with repayment clauses and non-competes (with anyone who might ever use fiserv as a partner/customer) is also discouraging.

It's not even worth taking those "free" stocks anymore either.

If you have any insights into the inner workings of this company, buying their stock is a fools errand. I dumped mine a while back and stopped participating in the ESPP. The stock is a reflection of the work environment - toxic. At some point, the law of averages says you can't keep chopping your workforce to make numbers, you actually need people to do the work. And not just warm bodies from some NJ job fair, people who actually have experience and know the systems.

The broker who houses our employee stock purchase plan doubled the margin requirement for it last week too. Risk must be elevated.
