Was just in a meeting and the person talking on the call was obviously at home and her Alexa reminded her of a call - while she was talking on a WF conference call. I thought it was a mandate that we have separate rooms and no alexa, echo, etc. in the vicinity when we are working and can possibly be overhead by those listening devices. Nice to know no one cares about anything any longer.

Yes that is a policy so you have an obligation to report that to the ethics line, a manager or corporate information security.

I work with a manager who thinks it’s cute to have her toddler on her lap during calls. Of course we have to spend the first ten minutes gushing over how smart the kid is to wave at the camera.
Guess I’m the only one who doesn’t feel I should be compelled to waste time flattering her for reproducing herself. Everyone else seems to love it. Or maybe they are better actors than me.
I have some Indian co workers who sound like im in the street with, cars honking wild, 6 kids screaming in the mic.. just send me an email byotch.
AFAIK policy states that when working remotely you're supposed to be in a room closed off from distractions, like the kids you hear shrieking in the background on conference calls with globally-based staff.
