Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

FISV and AI

There is no company better positioned to take advantage of AI than Fiserv. This creative and strategic leadership team will leverage this technology to create massive synergies and grow the stock price to the $500 range. Imagine a nimble distributed org 1/10 the size and 25x revenues. The future is bright

You should look at where the data is. Its so fragmented that they have to bring it all together and clean it before they can train any AI model. And the way we are spending all our time just keeping lights on, there is never time for any strategic thinking or doing

I’m all for AI replacing our senior management.
Donald Duck could replace them and have a more positive benefit.
If you’re going to use AI use it where it belongs— replacing Frankie Boi and his sycophants. Even an untrained computer can sort things out better. At least it learns from it’s mistakes.

Fiserv can't even service its clients, what will it use AI for? Maybe to inflate Frankie boy's over-inflated ego? This is the best joke I've heard all year!!! Thank you for the laugh.

What exactly are you smoking? I am not an employee, I used to be a client and somehow ironically I became a client of a bank that used online banking from Fiserv, it looked so dated and old. Slow at times, wasn't user friendly. At the time didn't have mobile app. It would have been a great product back in 2005. Fiserv is not a technology company, it's basically a sales and marketing company with no real product. Fiserv needs to be sold to Square or Stripe, they are the only ones who can do anything with A.I.

YOU lost me as a client, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

without SME's and documentation (ask any Fiserv client the documentation sucks) AI is useless. Oh well more spent on off shore consulting to figure out how code works! Will never happen for reasons already mentioned here.

What is this post doing here it's a layoff and employee satisfaction forum. Leadership desperately needs more spin. BTW was on a call with an FIS representative they are undertaking AI projects as well under client delight expect Fiserv leadership to follow along since all they can do is google ideas from others.

Didnt AI just cause a dip in the stock market because it propagated a pic of the Pentagon being blown up. Yea let's pin our Hope's on that.

When has Fiserv successfully deployed any new tech? FB is stuck in the 80's... AI for Fiserv is about as good an idea as the metaverse has been for fakebook

Part of the financial institutions reorg must have been appointing a CLO (chief layoffs.com officer) to come pump sunshine up everyone's rears. Lmfao.

I’m sure it’ll sit nicely on a shelf next to all the work on Alexa and NFTs.

God help us if Fiserv is going to try and leverage an AI project! It’ll require a lot of up-front funding and staff that will continue for a few years without developing anything. Next staff cuts will occur. Funding will trickle. Same story…rinse and repeat.

A Random Number Generator can do a better job than the current leadership. A new technology with obvious flaws. Let's do it! Let's start at the top and work the way down. Compensation highest to lowest.

AI that no client is ready for and will leave the backbone that built this company, small to midrange community banks, in the dust. A big fancy technical tool with no customers and no revenue because it’s too expensive. Client renewals will fall and there will be no real support for the bread and butter programs that drive this companies bottom line and the economy in the backing sector. Then what ?
