Thread regarding Follett layoffs

June is almost here

Wondering how many other stores got 40 or less hours a week payroll for June with orientations coming up which they expect stores to participate in with clothing coming in for Fall, maybe, transfers in and out, running a register, and soda. Don't forget everything else expected with all the changes not being in place.

My store had over 500 which was more than 30% of inventory.

They clearly laid off staff to help cover the expense of writing out dead inventory.
As stupid as that is it's still really dead inventory that desperately needed to be liquidated.
They're trying to set a cleaner financial state for the new fiscal year. Why now and whether that's to set up success or sell off soon who knows? I'm happy to see so much cr-p book inventory go. But it may not be a good sign either.

Just heard about massive MOS units surpassing one thousand in several stores. No staff to process and what a loss of investment. Release the secret plans Ivory Tower!
