Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM RTO Policy

Hi All - I am not with IBM but I am trying to build a list of different approaches to RTO. I am focusing on large companies that have presence here on layoffs.com (I am assuming I can get employees to speak up here). Anyhow, if you feel comfortable sharing a blurb on what the current policy is please reply to this thread. I'll tag it on all boards where I ask the question with #RTOpolicy

Thanks in advance!

Why bother going into the office? It is practically empty and given that the layoffs have nothing to do with performance, what's it matter? Might as well WFH until your number is up.

IBM layoffs - same as death and taxes.

In my part of ibm research it seems most are in the office all the time. If we are sick we can work from home. There are some people who used to be in the office that don’t have other albany, ny people on the team and work fully remote so it’s really team by team even where I am but the parking lot is full as are the eating areas and conference rooms

or, US Consulting is on the client 100%. If unstafffed, you sit at home, come to the office if they call you. If you sit a bit too long unstaffed you are done for.

Each group is different. Each geography is different. The entire Europe is 100% back in the office.
