Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

This is Awesome! Sounds exactly like SF!

They all drink the same Kool Aid and scheme together! Good for their employees! Exactly like State Farm!

Yes they are all on a race to the bottom. People can't afford new houses and can't afford new cars anymore. The demographics are not on their side over the next 10 years. I work at Geico and hear a lot of stuff about becoming more of a data company because the market is starting to shrink. Everyone's piece of the pie is going to get smaller and smaller. I think in the next couple of years you're going to start seeing companies like Allstate, Farmers and Nationwide getting bought up and the market will consolidate to just a few carriers. Insurance companies have just become he-l holes to work for, just read the threads for Allstate, Nationwide, Geico, and Progressive. All overworked, stressed out places with very little pay.

Anyone that thinks SF is going extinct has little if any gray matter. They have more capital and more customers than any competitor. And contrary to your misinformation they have actually extended their lead over key competitors. I suspect you are the retiree that has not worked in 10 years yet loves to spend your day trashing the company that provided you nearly 40 years of employment and now a generous pension. You think it is still 1980. Your daily attempts to trash a 100 year old success story are tiresome and boring. Just leave this site for CURRENT employees with CURRENT questions and concerns.

Pathetic corporatr stooges trying to deflect from leadership failures. Is SF too big to fail even with poor leadership? Dunno, lets ask Sears. I do know current leadership broke it, and cant fix it AND theres nobody with big enough cajones to get rid of the failed leadership so yes, SF is going extinct.

unfortunately customer attitudes have changed and they now largely view insurance as a commodity. Once a product falls into that category it is no longer about loyalty, service or brand just simply price. SF continues to have a lower LC than a GEICO or Progressive due largely to agent interaction especially in rural and smaller towns.

@1kdc and it is very sad. United we stand and divided we will fall. NO! This world is not all about me! Nothing is all about me. It took your parents and GOD to create you and look around at all the things others have done for each other. It is about us and we should respect each other. Corporate America has long forgotten this is what creates wealth and not numbers!

Like many of us have stated and been ridiculed for here…….it’s not State Farm. It’s the whole industry and actually the whole economy. This is the world we live in.

This has been going on for years and years. Until the 6 digit elites who say they wouldn't want to be an adjuster come out from behind their high rise corner offices and come down to the trenches and do the job, they may learn. This is what happens when you have some high tech geek makes things look pretty when in reality they are a cluster. Any position above the adjuster level does not work as hard as an adjuster. They even say it's the hardest job in the company. Turnover is high because the kids of today look around and are fully aware of the stressed out and damaged people are who have been in the adjuster level for a long time. They're not d-mb! Anyone who would recommend being an adjuster today is lying through their teeth. Just look around at what it does to the people who have been in it for over 15 to 20 plus years. They're beat up, unhealthy and a train wreck. It's so very sad corporate life is trash today. Too many self medicating leadership sitting back laughing while raking in the big bucks while putting more and more on the little and middle man. Leadership should be ashamed to receive a letter like this or even have this discussion internally. Don't think Nationwide leadership doesn't sleep with Nationwide or other leadership. Look at the board......it's so obvious what they do. I'm waiting for the day they can't stop the bleeding and feel ashamed of the machine they created. It's coming maybe sooner than later. Good share!
