I don't understand why people on here like to scare others? Its not funny or fun. I understanding trolling but this is peoples lives. People who have kids and need to provide. How much hate do you have in your life to do that or are you just that bored? If so, please find another hobby. Why scare others? Why stress others out?

Not just trolls. This requires some discernment here. There are trolls; there are workers, and there are apologists for Oracle. There is always an ebb and flow among the three.
I check this board once in a while and all I see is trolling, with the repeated claims of a imminent bloodbath which never happens.
If you want to live in a bubble and tell yourself that all is well in Zion, then don’t read these comment boards. Oracle is a ruthless employer to work for, it could care less that you have a family to provide for. and it will dump you to the curb at the drop of a hat. That is the reality, and if you think I’m being “mean” by stating that then that’s your problem.
Live in the real world and quit thinking that Oracle’s a great big loving sweetheart.

OP sounds like the type of person who gets a job because they need a "job" and expects to keep it forever. Reality is technology changes and people lose the ability to compete with the ever changing skill set. Oracle has far to many people who expect to be able to "provide" for their kids meanwhile going to work everyday and keeping their head down. You shouldn't feel nervous of a layoff... you should embrace it as one of life's challenges that inspires you to do better and seek more for you and your family. If coming on here gives you stress from the "trolls" (while yes there are some trolls for sure), consider seeking a therapist.

life is good but it’s not easy. We learn much from difficulties.
Some people are harsh but I also think they have learned things through their difficulties and truly dwant to fo-e warn others Some have dependents that have cancer and have to work for the insurance. Its unfair.
Others are sick and tired of mgjt takibg advantage of people

I wish everybody the best. I think if we focus on doing the right things. ..treating people we want to be treated then good things will come. May not be exactly what we want at the time. .. later we can usually look back and see that it was the toughest times thaft taught us what we needed so that. We couid get to a Breyer place in life.
For those that lie and cheat they’ll never have peace. Whatever they get from taking from others …will never give them what they are looking for - maybe temporarily but eventually it willl catch-up in some way. Health is everything and once it’s lost…. It’s lost… doing harm to others is the quickest way to bring. Harm on self.
Perhaps because the people posting also had families and livelihoods that were taken away …

There are two sides to this coin.
Maybe because the OP is worried, he/she should try to find a job at a different company where downsizing isn't a major strategic objective? Either that or pretend nothing is wrong and convince yourself that the fear is only due to trolls posting on this MB (misguided, IMO)
