Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Rich strategy sessions

I am curious what is Rich is going to talk about in his strategy session, it is so much waste of time, holding more than 20,000 employees hostage for 20 hours, waste of 400,000 person hours, if on an average cost is $100 per person hour, $40,000,000 gone down the drain. This itself would be enough to provide employment to at least 200 employees.

Personally I loved the strategy sessions. The last one was all about AI. Heard it was pretty boring compared to other years.

The last one I bothered to attend was during Covid and it was entirely dial in. No long trips on a bus to attend these grueling sessions. Rich was crying and breaking up at times on the call. My overall impression was that Rich needs to go away and spend all the money he made at others expense. I also realized what a colossal waste of time these sessions have been, all the way back to the Rich and Nigel show at the Carpenter Center.

I’m sure he’ll shed crocodile tears about how he had to make the difficult decision to let go the 1100 agiles and so many silent layoffs. Bunch of hypocrites

I got an invite and deleted it. What a waste of time.

Cult leader needs to tell followers what to do to maintain obedience, while stack ranking and firing them.

I quit feeding Rich's ego about 10 years ago.
