Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

face it, your gonna be fired this year

If you are in an affected group, and not in 1 of the 9 consolidated sites, and won't relocate, you're on a countdown to 2023 termination. Virtual will be hoops of fire to qualify for. They want you gone. Today if possible. Refuse to relocate and you're fired for cause, no severance. Class action may eventually get you a pittance after attorney cut. Your countdown timer started yesterday. Just be aware. You are now a bug to be squished, not valuable to the company. Sorry for the brutal truth. But it's shared for only your good.

Gotta love these id--ts threatening law suits!
Newsflash, the only people walking away with any money are the lawyers and law firms. Employees will be lucky to get enough money to buy a cup of coffee at McDonalds!
Welcome to reality 101!

I’m amazed at how many “smart” people are on here blowing something out of the water. We will have 9 main offices, still maintaining hundreds of work locations in each state. If you are in the corporate environment meaning beyond director levels you will need to work from the office. As is smart the company is shedding more and more of the corporate jobs that are redundant and slimming its operations. Support and field staffs will not be impacted by this and if you are working from home in these areas you will be stationed at a work center near you. Unless AT&T sells all of its wireline business which they have no plans of doing there will be WORKCENTERs and offices in every city we have a footprint in. Calm down and quit playing into the hype. The ride from home and do very little days are over and it’s time to put on big boy and girl pants on and come to work at the place affording you the ability to pay your bills and enjoy life or move on to another place that will give you what you want.

If not this year, at some time shortly thereafter. It’s been made clear in the FAQ that they are shutting down in other states and consolidating offices. If you’re not near one, even if you get virtual status, it’s only a matter of time before you get targeted. The FAQ even stated you’d be responsible for airfare getting to your office location for your 1-5 day/mo commitment. It’s going to happen sooner than later. Sorry Midwest, JS has spoken.

Bunch of id--t techs on here spouting propaganda!! The News Now we email after Stankey’s RTO 100% does not mean only 9 cities will have roles and everyone will have to relocate. Get a grip and go back to complaining about your great benefits, pay and how you’re entitled to more! GTFOH

What would be the basis of a lawsuit? The company is not legally bound to cover relocation, and if they offer a job the employee refuses, then the employee is self terminating, aren't they? I don't see how the employees come out on top, but I'm not entirely sure of the legalities either, or if they'd differ by state.
