Don't get stuck looking just at the big banks. Many smaller banks are more than eager to hire talented individuals from bigger banks and are often willing to offer competitive compensation packages to do so. True, you may need to forego your bonus, but many of these banks can still make it worth your while with a generous sign-on bonus.

I agree with this. I left JPMC after 10+ years and now work for a credit union. They were so quick to scoop me up (tho there was no sign on bonus), they matched my vacation/personal days and I now actually earn a little annual bonus. I don't know why I didn't leave JPMC sooner!
