How do they select people for RCSA assignments? I see a few job postings for RCSA in Controls but hear that people outside of that area are forced to give up their regular jobs to work on it. Anybody have info?

First, leadership set dates to complete RCSA that are completely unrealistic and divorced from reality. Then, leadership completely screwed up the initial Phase 1 rollout, but didn’t bother to change the timeline. This is why we’re currently under a “re-execution” phase. Now, leadership pushes out changes to RCSA requirements while in the middle of “re-execution “ that causes even more rework for in-flight RCSAs. Leadership is a bunch of bozos who couldn’t manage their way out of a box. Meanwhile, all the “volunteers” are working crazy hours as a result and are left wondering whether our old jobs will still be there once this “volunteer” period is over, assuming we don’t burn out and have a mental health collapse during the “volunteer” period first!
I hate to say this because it sounds as awful as it is.
Who on your team is doing the least valuable work that we don’t “need” right now or has work that can be done fairly easily by someone else? As a Manager, I expect you to pick one person. We are all in this together.
Ok great, please tell give them they will be participating in this wonderful mission critical opportunity. No risk experience necessary!

I was volun-told and didn't choose this. I have no doubt they would let me go if I said no. I must have been on some list of people they were going to let go but figured they would get me to do this or encourage me to quit.
